Tag Clouds
Hey everyone, it's Taco.
As you can see, there are two tag clouds crowding up your friendslists at the moment. I'm terribly sorry about that! The community posts can't be dated out of order, unfortunately, so while I didn't want to crowd up your f-lists, it was kind of necessary.
Here's an explanation as to why those were needed, though.
I've found through the short amount of time we've been re-opened that not all of the Comm and Logs networks tags will show up all at once unless they've been used already for a post in the community. Thus, to make it easier for you guys to be able to search through and find the tags for your character, I had to make it so that all of the tags entered onto the community have been used at least once. So, we have the tag clouds to help that along. I know they look like crap on your f-lists right now, but please try to ignore the craplook and keep roleplaying!
Again, I must greatly emphasize the use of the tags, as they will come in handy for the next D-ARC (Which will begin June 1st, 2012, In case anyone was wondering. So you've got plenty of time to get used to the new tag system).
For those who didn't get the message in the last update post, here's how to use the tag system:
For
digital_dive, there are two types of tags:
!: character name
c: character name
The ! tag designates the person who made the post, while the c tag designates people who comment to the posts. It's fairly simple.
As for
dive_logs, we'll be having two kinds of tags there as well.
c: character name
l: location name
c tags are self-explanatory. Which characters are in this log? Put 'em down.
l is pretty self-explanatory as well. Where's this log taking place? yep, that's where.
If you don't know what tag is your characters, refer to the following:
1. Digital Dive Comm's Tags
2. Dive Logs Comm's Tags
Also, the location tags have now been added to
dive_logs! All locations have been entered except the locations that have clearly been designated as 'no man's land' in the Digital World Atlas. Oh, and the Draco Island Crater. If anyone really has a need to go there, or if by some chance an RP log takes place in a 'no man's land' area, one of us modtypes will put in a tag for that.
Anyway, apologies once more for the ugly tag clouds on your pages, and a hope that you guys have fun with our brand new digital world! ♥ Ya'll rock!

I'll try that, thank you! I'm obviously still getting used to dreamwidth, haha. ♥

Glad to help whatever way I can! There always seems to be something new to figure out.
Like why LJ and DW eat notifications.
If you figure that one out, let me know.no subject
In any case, I tried setting it to admin lock for the tag cloud entries, and the tags went right back to being invisible unless used in a public post. :( So I guess we're going to have to just wait until they fall off the front pages? Gah. Oh well, it was a great suggestion and definitely worth a try.
