DARK AREA LIBERATION PLOT - OOC ORGANIZATION

Omegamon's shenanigans of overtaking the Dark Area and threatening genocide against all types of dark and demonic Digimon sure has caused a stir, hasn't it? The first step towards doing something about that is coming up here this week, but first we need a little OOC organizing!

First, refer to the following IC posts: Omegamon's announcement, started this whole thing off. Then, DATS' Vice-Commander Ivan made two posts: One towards non-DATS affiliated Tamers who wish to oppose the Virus Busters and one to DATS members.

Following those that have voiced interest, Simon spoke up trying to organize some of them towards one strike point. Likewise, Iskandar has done the same.

These are the biggest posts towards information on the situation, interest expression, and attempted organization.

So now, let's really break this down so we can get a log rolling, yes? Yes! Let's.

There are four villages that Ivan has provided information on. However, this information is limited - troop movements and their fighting force are unknown to the liberators moving in, and moving in quickly is a necessity before these villages have their residents eliminated. Thus, our heroes will be largely moving into these situations blind. The Virus Busters will pose a CONSIDERABLE threat, though, and this may include an Ultimate or two somewhere in the mix depending on the participants and situations.

The current suggestion that seems the strongest is to have teams which will make noise and chaos and generally try to pull enemies away from the villages so others can swoop in and evacuate them out. If there are any other plans you think might be effective, feel free to toss them out.

Note that dependent on the amount of people that get spread out from here on, it's very likely not every village will be liberated. We can provide shots at it for each of the four, but note if your characters head into a village without a lot of back up, they very well may be beaten by sheer numbers and overwhelming force. Please take note of your characters' abilities and what evolutions they've unlocked, as well. An Ultimate or two would be really helpful!

If DATS members participate, said participation will be disavowed by Command. They will not actively STOP anyone from doing this, however. At the moment DATS cannot launch an official strike against the Virus Busters without likely having a retaliation they are not prepared to deflect.

VILLAGE ONE
CURRENT PLAN: A distraction force launched from the Halberd will assault the Virus Buster forces, drawing them away from the village. Meanwhile, a rescue team will infiltrate and bring those villagers to the Halberd. -

For the first two villages, if you wish to be on the distraction team for either one, please indicate as such. If you wish to be on the rescue team, do the same. If you have comments for any of these, please feel free to note them. If you have any plans for how to make additional villages work, also note that. And if you're perfectly okay with walking into a losing situation (which could be interesting for RPs) for any of the low-participation villages, please note that too!

(For the record, if you walk into a losing situation, there are contingencies in mind so that your character wouldn't just get outright murdered.)

Many people have thrown interest towards the Halberd's strike, but I haven't listed them here yet. Mostly, I want to give people an opportunity to note which Team they want to be on rather than simply assuming.

Being Halberd crew, I'd like to put Starscream on distraction and Nia on rescue.

I've only got Asakura officially throwing her hat into this hubbub, she'll probably want to be part of the distraction team.

Other than that I do wanna have Amy get in on this, but no clue how. Other than... she's Amy, she'll somehow end up there because she just. does that.

Lori "Sonicheart" Hamilton plans to join the Village two Distraction team - probably in disguise. EDITED: Switched to Distraction team

Pidonus Marasia (Most DEFINITELY using her powers for disguises and favoring running the hell away) is going to be on Village two's Rescue team. EDITED: Switched to help with village 2.

Hitsuji Sako plans to use the date of the strike to try and sneak into DATS and gain info. She's smarter than before and will flee immediately when given a chance.

I can have noir head up a third rescue team following the same structure of distract and escape if we can rally enough others into play. His partner can reach ultimate and he's got some buff military grade gear on his warthog.

Finitevus: Commented to Simon's post. He is thinking of offering his assistance in the rescue with Village 1 with a plan to help the teams strike the village through his Warp Rings.

Jake Long: Offering to be air support in Village One. Did comment.

Master Cyclonis: Offering to help supply crystals for Village Two's strike squad and offering to help head up evac through her ability to teleport.

Elias: Offering his assistance in Village One as either strike team or evac team.

Rock has agreed to help Simon and will be part of the distraction team unless they end up really needing more people for rescue.

Iskandar will be taking Cyclonis up on her offer of teleportation, but unless he hears about exact plans for the refugees he'll just have her teleport them all to a park or plaza or other open space in Junk City and then call up DATS to let them know they need to come down. He'll personally be leading the distraction, using Shoutmon + Labrador Speakers (Give a sound system to an attention-whoring Shoutmon? Best. Distraction. Ever. Even if it can't do any real damage.) and Leomon, who will probably go on the evac team unless they have enough people. If he has enough people, he'll get a couple of them to flank the defenders, making it seem that the distraction was for another attack rather than a rescue mission. Further details depend on who and how many he has with him.

Sadamitsu will be joining Simon as a distraction and has already tagged Simon's post.

I may put Apollo and/or Jio somewhere, but I have some things to work out there first due to Reasons.

I'm fine with having Yuka on either team for village one or two. She has access to an Ultimate level digimon, and the associated Digisoul.

Quatre could help with planning the missions. But I'd prefer him to not go into the Dark Area if possible. And again, Riku can play distraction for whatever group and I'm willing to let him get captured.

Unfortunately, at the moment Noir's the only one that's been offered for Village Three. :( We don't really want to just lay it all on one player to pull it off, so is there any chance you'd like to offer Noir towards one of the other teams?

I don't think we expected all four to get filled up, we just laid them out as options. As it is, having a couple unoccupied is going to give room for some plot developments I think people can have fun with once this whole situation is handled.
