Hey everyone. I have another announcement, and unfortunately... they're not exactly glad tidings.
I know recently we've asked you to help us come up with ways to save the game, but... unfortunately, the last few days have forced me to look at what's most important in my life, and for all of us on the mod-team to re-evaluate our priorities. You can probably see where this is going, so I'll just come out and say it.
Digital Dive is closing down.
This is partly due to me, and my own personal issues, as well as the point of my life in which I find myself. Ultimately, the decision was made that I had to make a decision, and unfortunately, the decision was that I could no longer continue. The other moderators feel the same way for similar reasons, and rather than prolong Dive's final days, we've decided that it's best to just make a clean break and close up shop.
I'd like to thank you - all of you, past and current members - of this community. You gave me an amazing five years. We've seen our share of harships, our share of difficulties, and yet, we've also seen amazing and creative things as well. I am a richer person for having had a chance to play with each and every one of you, and it is my deepest regret that the days where we can have adventures in the Digital World are coming to an end.
But this isn't goodbye. Divechat, which can be found under the name of "divechatauthorized", will remain open as long as people want to come into it. And I fully intend on keeping contact with you all as friends whenever I can. I don't want to lose touch, and I will always cherish the bonds I've forged here with all of you.
And so... as I say goodbye to the Digital World... to those two wizards, to the nefarious demon kings, to the Area Leaders, to that awkward little Kamemon... I say, once again: Thank you for the memories, and may we have many more in places beyond.

First off, to answer the question of many who have brought it up: yes, we will allow for a Dressing Room/Musebox type community to happen for those who wish to continue CR. I will be more than happy to set it up and monitor it for anything that might need monitoring, but naturally it won't need much more modship than that.
I will get it set up some time tonight, and update this post with the proper linkage once it's ready.
That said, on the closing post a lot of people were putting up contact/current game information, so I figured there was need for a Continued Contact post of sorts, which is the other half of this.
Just copy the handy dandy text box below to put up a more concise contact listing that people can reference easily! Naturally any field is optional and you can put only what you want to be listed!

I have been in this game since the day it opened on October 22nd, 2007. I have loved this game, and I have loved being a part of it. I have loved being a part of keeping it running. I have loved watching this game as it has grown and evolved over the past several years. There have been a lot of great times and memories, and I think I will always, always love this game. It's been with me through a lot of good times and bad times. The people and the content of the game have made me laugh on horrible days and good days alike, and has been there for me whenever I needed it. This game has been my home for the past four years and nine months, and I love each and every one of you who has been, and is, a part of Digital Dive.
However ...
There comes a time when everyone needs to leave home, and for me, that time has come. I've found that my motivation to do anything in the game has dwindled a lot. That was one of the primary reasons for stepping down as a moderator, and it is the primary reason for me leaving the game now. It's not really anyone's fault, either; it's just something that happened.
There really aren't enough words to express how much I love everyone here. I want all of you to know that no matter what, you guys have brought joy and wonderful things into my life just by being a part of this game, and by having fun playing here.

We're coming up on our fifth anniversary, and... well, suffice it to say, the game isn't in the best shape it's ever been. There are some serious issues, and we need to address them. That's why we're reaching out to you, the players, to help us figure out how we can fix these issues and make it so Dive can continue on into the future as long as it possibly can.
This will be no small undertaking. There may be massive, potentially even difficult changes as we go forward. It may change how we approach everything from here on out, as far as plot, characters, and management are concerned. However, when talking about this, I would like to make something clear.
This is not about pointing fingers. There have been areas where we've erred along the way, and areas where we've been lacking. I speak in that context as both a moderator and as a member of the community itself. Right now, it'd be best if we focused on what we can do to improve Dive and get it back on the right track, rather than being hung up on what could have been. That's not to say I want us to ignore areas where we can improve, but I don't want this to be about calling anyone out.
So, we're going to be doing this three different ways, depending on what makes you as individuals feel most comfortable. First off, there will be this thread, where you can post publicly, a thread where you can submit your thoughts on this matter privately to the mods, and a third venue where you can email us directly. I'm willing to receive the emails personally, so please send them to razorsawtf[at]gmail[dot]com. You may also feel free to directly PM the mod account.
Additionally, we have a poll in thise thread whose results will be entirely anonymous, where you can pick a result that best fits your thoughts about how Dive is doing.
In summation, I'd just like to say, Dive is very special to me, and I'd like to continue on as long as we can. I believe in this game, and I'm confident we can overcome these issues and make things work. We can't do it without you guys, and really... I believe in you all too.

I'm unfortunately stubborn, is the problem. A condition of mine has been flaring up pretty significantly lately, which has pretty much been knocking me on my ass with some consistency. When this happened last year I didn't take the time off I needed to and that likely didn't help things.
So yeah, I need to take a hiatus. Not something I wanna do, but until I can figure out with my doctor the best way of keeping this under control, I'm not gonna have much of a choice. Could just be a couple days, could be a lot longer. Can't tell right now.

Jumping on that Hiatus Train

Needless to say, my energy for RPing isn't going to be very high, if existent at all. So I'm going to be taking a hiatus for this month. This affects Takeru, Yuka, Vivio, and Triangle Heart Nanoha. I'm still going to be tagging the Dark Area log and anywhere else when I have the energy, but I'm most likely going to be really slow.

Stepping Down
Jul. 1st, 2012 02:45 amtacos_of_doomI've been a moderator at this game for quite a large part of its' existence, and while we've been through our ups and downs, I have really enjoyed every bit of it. Recently, I've been having a lot of issues and stress and a general lack of motivation as far as roleplay is concerned. As a result, I'm looking to sort of lessen the load on myself, and also as a result, I've decided it would be best for both myself and the game if I stepped down from my moderator status.
I will still remain in the game as a player, but I will be trimming down my character list to make it a little easier for me to be active in the game. I've already gone ahead and dropped a couple of them, and I'll list them at the end of this post, but there are a few more that I need to speak with people about before I drop them entirely.
It's been a really wonderful run, being a moderator for you guys. :)

His streetsmarts are only as limited as the world around him and since he's not familiar with technical or digital terminologies, he might get confused and ask a bunch of questions...or he could act all macho and deny not knowing a damn thing while he "pretends" to dismiss it.
I'm looking forward to having a lot of fun here!

Considering where I'm going this usually wouldn't be an issue as there is an internet connection down there, but I only have my Kindle Fire to work with this time, and making tags on that is sort of a bother.
I will try to pop in on occasion but I make no promises.
So everyone is on Datafreeze (Train, Geoffrey, Terezi) except Hao, who is on autopilot and Liz is in charge of him for whatever plot purposes he's involved in.

E-123 Omega (e_onetwothree) - With Team Dark missing a piece, the muse just isn't there with me anymore. (Sorry Rouge, Lancelot.) I've enjoyed a lot of things I've done with Omega over the time I've had him, but at present I'm just finding it really hard to get the muse motivated anymore.
House (itsneverlupus) - This one is painful, but in all honest I've been trying to crank up tags and posts for this one for a long time. Not sure when it happened, but at a certain point I just couldn't maintain him anymore. Maybe one day again in the future, who knows.
Both of these are muses I liked a lot, and ones I'd really like to play again someday should the inspiration return. Maybe it will, eventually, who knows?
But for now, they're gone.And I've got one more who may be more active swinging in soon, too, so there's that to consider too.
