Hello, everybody! This here is one final reminder that D-Arc ends on June 15, 2012 at Midnight PST! This means that once it hits Midnight EST tonight, D-ARC will be over and any characters that have not responded will be dropped from the game.

Here's the link to D-ARC again, for your convenience!

Thanks, everyone! ♥

Hey everybody! Wow, time flies, doesn't it?

In any case, I'm here to let you guys know that there are only about five days left in the Dive Activity Roll Call, or, D-ARC. It will officially end on June 15, 2012 at Midnight EST. So, if you haven't already gotten your stuff in, please get your stuff in over here within the next few days so that you'll be safe for D-ARC and still in the game.

Thanks!

Good Evening, Digital Dive, and welcome to your Dive Activity Roll Call! Exciting, isn't it?

This post is going up a few hours earlier than it should, due to my work schedule making it so that I would JUST be getting off of work at the time the D-ARC begins, so if you want to go ahead and post activity with your characters, by all means, so do. It will be accepted as your D-ARC submission for this D-ARC.

1. TIME LIMIT: D-ARC will run for two weeks, from June 1st, 2012 @ Midnight EST, to June 15th, 2012 @ Midnight EST.

2. ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: Respond to this post with your characters and a link to at least one thing that character has done during the past several months. This can be ...

* A comment
* A log
* A network post,
* A comment thread
* Anything your character has done on either the [community profile] digital_dive or [community profile] dive_logs communities that proves they've done at least something since the move. It's really very simple.

Keep in mind that there is no grace period for characters to get activity in. Since the D-ARC is currently on a bi-yearly schedule, we will only be accepting activity from the official restart date of February 15, 2012 to the D-ARC's start, June 1st, 2012, Midnight EST.

3. FOR THIS D-ARC ONLY, if you have a character who has NOT had any activity at all, we're willing to give a pass just this once and say that they have been data frozen since the move. This will only be good for this D-ARC, though! After this D-ARC, if your character doesn't have proof of activity without hiatus-inducing circumstances (which will be figured out before the next D-ARC, along with an official hiatus and drop post for convenience), they will not pass the D-ARC and will therefore be dropped from the game.

* Please note that if you have a character who was applied for and approved since the move, or adopted and rebooted, they are NOT covered under this one-time data freeze clause. You must provide activity for them, or they will be dropped.

4. FORM: Without further ado, here is the form to use for your D-ARC needs!

Hello there, Dive! This is a note to tell you all that D-ARC, or Dive Activity Roll Call, will be going up a few hours earlier (right before I go to work at 4:30PM PST) due to my work schedule. You are free to respond to the D-ARC if you'd like to at the time that it goes up, and it will still count as your activity for the half-year; however, it will OFFICIALLY begin at Midnight, Eastern Standard Time.

Also, apologies for the short notice, but I forgot to clarify something that should be common sense on the previous D-ARC reminder post, and I think I need to clarify that right now.

Remember this clause here?

It's still in place. But only for characters who were in the game before the move. If you have a character who was applied for and approved after the move, the data freeze clause would not apply to them at all, and they will have to show proof of activity in order to continue playing here without having to re-apply.

This ALSO applies to characters who were adopted and re-booted. If you have a character that you adopted from someone else and rebooted, they will not be covered under the data freeze clause, since they are essentially considered to be a new character at that point.

Thanks, Dive! ♥ Keep rockin'!

Goooood Evening, Digital Dive! I'm a little bit late in getting this up due to my work schedule, but as of Friday, May 25, 2012 there is officially one week until the start of the official Dive Activity Roll Call, or D-ARC.

Again, you may pelt me with rotten tomatoes for the ever-appropriate acronym.

Anyhoot! Here's a reminder of some of the changes we've made to D-ARC, but also a few things that may be a saving grace since this is the first time that we're actually enforcing proof of activity in addition to just a response to the D-ARC post.

So, here are the things to know about D-ARC!

1. D-ARC will run for two weeks, from June 1st, 2012 @ Midnight EST, to June 15th, 2012 @ Midnight EST.

2. A post will go up either shortly before or exactly at that time (depending on my work schedule, seeing as my job has proven they will change my schedule with or without telling me) for everyone to respond to with their characters and a link to at least one thing that character has done during the past several months. This can be a comment, a log, a network post, a comment thread, etc, etc. It's really very simple.

4. And now, we will have an example of the form you all will be using for D-ARC!

This cut bounces, unlike certain characters we know ~ )

And there you have it! Bear in mind that this post is not the post to be posting these things. This is just an example for when the time comes.

So with that said, this is your D-ARC heads up! As always, questions can be directed at the modtypes. Don't be shy, we don't bite. ♥

Good Morning, Dive!

Does anybody remember when I Emphasized the use of the community tags back in February, stating that they would come in handy for the next Dive Activity Roll Call? Well, D-Arc is coming up on June 1st, 2012, and I'm here a couple weeks early to give a heads up about the changes, and why the tag system would help with them.

The general run-down of the D-Arc is as follows:

1. The D-Arc will run for two weeks; from Midnight EST of June 1st, 2012, to Midnight EST of June 15th, 2012.*

* Considering my work schedule usually has me working during this time, if I AM working on the night before D-Arc, the post itself may go up a couple of hours beforehand so that I can get it up before I go to work. Regardless, the D-Arc officially begins at Midnight EST on June 1st.

2. During this time, you, the mun, will comment to the D-Arc post with your list of characters and one link to proof that they have been at least somewhat active during the past six months. This can be a link to anywhere on the [community profile] digital_dive or [community profile] dive_logs communities, and activity can consist of something as small as one comment, even. This isn't that difficult to do, which is why we feel okay with announcing this on such short notice, not to mention there have been about six months where you've had the opportunity to get characters in on things.

3. After the D-Arc begins, activity links dated after the start of the D-Arc will not be accepted as valid activity. Again, there have been six months prior to this to get some form of activity in.

That's all! As always, questions and comments can always be brought to the modfolk regarding anything at all. ♥ Have a wonderful day, Digital Dive!

'Sup, Divers! This is your friendly neighborhood Taco, and I am in charge of making sure everything's all cleaned up as far as taken characters and updating everyone's accounts so that they are for dreamwidth rather than livejournal. As such, I am conducting another Activity Roll Call for the sake of the impending Dreamwidth move! Yaaaay!

So, there's one thing I feel I should mention before we get on with the D-Arc (See what I did there? hurhur). Upon the move to Dreamwidth, Digital Dive will become a comm-based game.

What does this mean for you guys? Well. It means ...

1. The actual digital_dive community will be used as the D-Comm community; that is where you will put all of your D-Comm posts, rather than putting them in your personal journal, as you have been. You may still do all the things you have been doing with your journal posts, like filtering them to certain people or groups, or making them fail!private, or even successful private, if you don't want anybody else commenting on your character's private thoughts but still want the world to see them. Nothing has changed except the place they're posted to.

2. No more friend add and friend remove lists! Which is nice, considering the amount of journals digital dive has in the game.

And I'm sure it means a lot of other wonderful things.

Now, on with the D-Arc.

What I need to know is the following:

Character Series: The series your character comes from.
Character Name: Your character's name, as you want it to appear on the taken list.
Character Partner: Your character's digimon partner. Or partners, in the case of those with multiple partners.
Character Journal: Please list your character's journal name on Dreamwidth. Don't worry about doing the code for it, as long as I know what the name of your character's journal will be on dreamwidth, I can take care of the rest.
Mun Name and Journal: Your name and journal name (If you have one) on Dreamwidth. If you aren't going to make a personal journal on Dreamwidth, that's fine too, feel free to let me know if you're keeping your livejournal name, or if you would prefer not to have a listed personal journal at all.

Again, this is to find out who will be coming with us on our move to Dreamwidth. If you have no intentions of keeping a character when we move, please don't list them. This is so I can recreate the Taken List. :) Thanks for being so awesome and cooperative with us during this, everyone! You guys are amazing and all of us on the mod squad are very excited for our new home!

Deadline for everyone to get their characters all taken care of on Dreamwidth is February 7th. Anybody who hasn't responded after that point will be dropped.

I would recommend getting your character journals made now, since Dreamwidth is still allowing people to create accounts without an invite code. The sooner, the better.
