This is probably one of the hardest posts I have ever set out to write ...

I have been in this game since the day it opened on October 22nd, 2007. I have loved this game, and I have loved being a part of it. I have loved being a part of keeping it running. I have loved watching this game as it has grown and evolved over the past several years. There have been a lot of great times and memories, and I think I will always, always love this game. It's been with me through a lot of good times and bad times. The people and the content of the game have made me laugh on horrible days and good days alike, and has been there for me whenever I needed it. This game has been my home for the past four years and nine months, and I love each and every one of you who has been, and is, a part of Digital Dive.

However ...

There comes a time when everyone needs to leave home, and for me, that time has come. I've found that my motivation to do anything in the game has dwindled a lot. That was one of the primary reasons for stepping down as a moderator, and it is the primary reason for me leaving the game now. It's not really anyone's fault, either; it's just something that happened.

There really aren't enough words to express how much I love everyone here. I want all of you to know that no matter what, you guys have brought joy and wonderful things into my life just by being a part of this game, and by having fun playing here.

Hey everyone. I have another announcement, and unfortunately... they're not exactly glad tidings.

I know recently we've asked you to help us come up with ways to save the game, but... unfortunately, the last few days have forced me to look at what's most important in my life, and for all of us on the mod-team to re-evaluate our priorities. You can probably see where this is going, so I'll just come out and say it.

Digital Dive is closing down.

This is partly due to me, and my own personal issues, as well as the point of my life in which I find myself. Ultimately, the decision was made that I had to make a decision, and unfortunately, the decision was that I could no longer continue. The other moderators feel the same way for similar reasons, and rather than prolong Dive's final days, we've decided that it's best to just make a clean break and close up shop.

I'd like to thank you - all of you, past and current members - of this community. You gave me an amazing five years. We've seen our share of harships, our share of difficulties, and yet, we've also seen amazing and creative things as well. I am a richer person for having had a chance to play with each and every one of you, and it is my deepest regret that the days where we can have adventures in the Digital World are coming to an end.

But this isn't goodbye. Divechat, which can be found under the name of "divechatauthorized", will remain open as long as people want to come into it. And I fully intend on keeping contact with you all as friends whenever I can. I don't want to lose touch, and I will always cherish the bonds I've forged here with all of you.

And so... as I say goodbye to the Digital World... to those two wizards, to the nefarious demon kings, to the Area Leaders, to that awkward little Kamemon... I say, once again: Thank you for the memories, and may we have many more in places beyond.
